This is the official catalogue for the career-spanning retrospective exhibition of Japanese pop artist Keiichi Tanaami (1936–2024), held at the National Art Center, Tokyo. His brain-melting, protean oeuvre spans not only fine art but also illustration, graphic design, and video. Fuelled by psychedelic forms, comic books, electric colours, and Hollywood films, the decidedly reactionary practice he developed since the 1960s has since led to worldwide acclaim.
